We have already reported extensively on the “Islamic State’s” horrific genocide against the Yezidis.
But the IS also persecuted Christians in Syria and Iraq. Over 200,000 Christians were displaced from Nineveh province alone in July 2014, many of them fled to the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan. We have supported them there since 2015 with many aid deliveries and other projects. They received winter clothing, food, water filters, baby food, hygiene items and more from us for almost 300,000 euros.
Since 2018, more and more of these refugee families are now returning to their homes in Nineveh. There they find their houses destroyed or partially destroyed and robbed and have to rebuild their existence from the scratch.
Shelter Now supports them in this. The families receive food, clothing, school supplies and medical assistance. By now for over 180,000 euros.
If you want to support this project, the project number is: 8012
